A downloadable game

In our game, the player takes on the role of a girl's cat and goes on adventures in the owner's bedroom. Players will see the world from a cat's unique perspective.

We named the game Troubletor, which is short for Trouble Simulator. We wanted the game to capture the idea that cats are destruction machines, but still very cute.

In our game, the player takes on the role of a cat who can roam freely in his owner's studio bedroom. The host is a fictional female game designer who is designing the game Troublator. When the game starts, she gets a call and leaves the room. The cat, now controlled by the player, thinks its owner is having an emotional breakdown and wants to help in his own way. Cats patrol the rooms to keep the house safe, but can make a mess when it comes to visual viewing. He also found this mouse, which he thought would be a great gift for the owner, so he started chasing the mouse. The mouse guides first, telling the player where they need to go. When the cat chases the mouse, the player will make a mess in the room. When the owner returned, she found the room destroyed, the furniture broken, and a dead mouse in front of her. She was angry at first, but couldn't force her boyfriend, so she picked up the cat and forgave him.

At first glance, the game seems to have similarities to Wanderlust. Both are third-person cat adventure games. However, wanderings focus on outdoor scenes at night. The main character is a stray cat wandering through a futuristic and dystopian cityscape. The scope of our game is smaller, the cat is domesticated, and the game is only one room. We focus on the relationships and interactions between humans and pets, what a brown cat does in a home, and Stray Cats, the cyberpunk version of cats. Cat Damage is another similar game but this game only focuses on destruction. In our game, destruction helps express the emotional narrative of a cat caring about his owner.
